SOLACE is a photo book that explores the quiet beauty of the mountains and the stillness we often forget within ourselves. Moving through majestic landscapes and shifting light, it gently invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature.

The book begins with my most recent series, photographed in my home country, Austria, and continues with a selection of images captured over the past ten years. Each photograph marks a quiet moment that has stayed with me.

This is my first photo book. I created it because I believe we all need moments of quiet, especially in times like these. For me, those moments are often found in the mountains our out in nature. This book is my way of holding onto them and sharing them with you.

This project means a lot to me, so thank you to anyone choosing to support it.

So, here it is. My first photo book.

Built from quiet moments in the mountains, where things slow down, and thoughts become a little clearer. Places where you don't need to chase anything; you just exist for a while.

The book is divided into two chapters. The first features my most recent series, created in the mountains of Austria. The second brings together photographs from the past ten years, and some of my dearest images and moments that have stayed with me.

I made this book because I believe we all need more solace, especially now. For me, I find it in nature. This is my way of sharing those moments.

THE MISSION.

WHY I CREATED
SOLACE.

We need nature now more than ever. I’ve always found myself in the mountains. Not really chasing views — it’s the quiet that keeps pulling me back. Everything slows down up there. Things make more sense, or at least they feel like they do. Over time, I started taking photos, just to hold on to those moments before they slipped away again. But this isn’t just about putting mountains into a book. These places aren’t untouched, even if they still feel that way when you’re standing in them. They’re changing, and not slowly either. It’s easy to ignore that when you’re only passing through. We take what we need from nature all the time, and then carry on. Giving something back isn’t the norm, even though it should be. This book is part of that shift for me. It’s not a fix, it’s a start.

SOLACE is the first larger piece of my project, atmoshepherd. It shares these places, but it also asks you to stay with them for a second longer. Pay attention. Don’t just move on.
We need nature more than ever. I’ve always found myself in the mountains — not for the views, but for the quiet. Things feel clearer, even if just for a moment. Over time, I started taking photos to hold onto those moments. That became SOLACE. Not just a collection of mountains, but a reminder that these places aren’t untouched. They’re changing, often faster than we notice. We take so much from nature, and rarely give anything back. This book is my way of starting to change that.

SOLACE is the first part of atmoshepherd. It shares these places, but more importantly, it asks you to stay a little longer.

SOLACE is the first tangible result of this journey. A 40-page photo book documenting mountain walks and moments of stillness. It is designed to bring a piece of the alpine world into your home as it actually feels: quiet and unexpectedly meaningful.

Giving back is the project's foundation. A portion of every SOLACE book sold is donated to environmental charities such as the Deutscher Alpenverein (DAV) to ensure mountain sustainability and responsible access to the alpine environments we love.
